systray desktop integration error
« on: May 18, 2005, 05:21:52 PM »

Hi, i'm a new user and i've started using aMule since 2.0.0rc8
I use Xandros Desktop OS 3.0 so it means i use KDE 3.3

I've compliled aMule 2.0.0 easily and all works fine, and downloads are almost as fast as with emule under windows.
The only problem i've seen is with systray integration. If i choose this feature in preferences (with the right desktop manager) and when i minimize aMule, it disappears. No icon in tray and nothing in the taskbar. I have to lauch aMule again to get back the window of the current instance.

I've seen other people had this kind of problem but with some differences (icon in the tray but not able to see the window again etc...). in my case, all is gone : Tray icon  AND taskbar window.

Thanks a lot and great job, emule was almost the only thing that forced me to stay under windows. Now i don't need it anymore.

I've just compiled and installed 2.0.1. This bug has disappeared. Sorry to have posted this useless topic. Anyway, in my opinion aMule is fully fonctional now, as much as emule under windows. And i'm downloading a little faster with the same settings even without Kad.

systray desktop integrator error

I have a similar problem.

I recently upraded to aMule 2.0.1. My OS is Fedora Core 3 with Gnome 2.8.
I noticed that the aMule icon appears below the REDHAT button, instead of in the systray area. On previous version (2.0.0) I did not encounter this problem. I also noticed that I can no longer choose my desktop to integrate aMule with through the preferences window.

What do I have to do in order to fix this one ?
