Cannot get the official hostname
« on: March 05, 2006, 01:09:49 PM »

Hello everyone

I'm using aMule fine here, but everytime i open it shows the following error:

Cannot get the official hostname (error 2: file or directory not found)

I found some answers here in the forum but all of them we're written in deutsch and i know only portuguese and english (a little)

I use Suse 10

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are definitely > 5 answers in English as well. E.g. here, from today: http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=9315

In short: Click "OK" and ignore it. It's a known problem that can be ignored and will no longer appear in the next version.

Nevermind. ;) It's very strange though, as only Mac OS X and SuSE Linux systems seem to be affected.
