Question from aMule newbie: Installed aMule, but...
« on: March 05, 2006, 07:59:46 PM »

When I click on the button to update my servers list, I get the following error: Failed to load server.met file '/Users/helvecio/Library/Application Support/aMule/server.met.download', unknown format encountered.

I looked into this folder and found the server.met file.

Downloaded a new one, clicked on connect then...

2006-03-05 16:03:36: Connecting
2006-03-05 16:03:36: No valid servers found in server list
2006-03-05 16:03:36: Read 45 Kad contacts

And, btw, what is this Kad?

Is this a bug in this version?

Thx!

And in more detail:

ken wrote somewhere else:
This problem is due to the fact that gruk.org is no longer serving a server.met file. So, when aMule tries to download it, it gets an HTML page explaining that the server.met is unavailable instead of the actual server.met. Google for a different server.met URL and use that.
