downloads not completed
« on: March 13, 2006, 04:42:52 PM »

!amule 2.1.0 was installed with yast2 (instead of rpm)!

nevertheless, it worked fine for about 20h, but then a problem appeared.
when a file has been downloaded completely, the bar
turns green and its status becomes "being completed"
or so, but it doesn't get status "complete" anymore.
furthermore, i constantly get messages "ERROR while saving
part-file: Failed to open part.met file (xxx.part.met
==> [filename])" :]

diskspaceproblem

Hi, thanks for replying so soon.

>Diskspace problem:

It's hard to believe there is a diskspace
problem because there are plenty gbyte left on my hd.
But you never know. There might e.g. be a quota,
although I installed the system myself and didn't
set one. Anyway I don't know how to check that.
How should I verify that this is NOT the reason for the error?

>non-standard letters:

There are no non-standard letters in most of the files i'm loading.

Regards :D

did you maybe lose r/w in your incomming folder?

try to "cd" to that dir and do a

touch some_testfile

there and see if you are alowed to create that file

No permission problem.
I think amule is closing the files when it shuts down,
so the problem is at least not fatal.

I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'll reinstall as soon
as it bugs me enough.
