After upgrading from 2.0.x i cannot connect to any server.

Hallo,

I have installed the new version 2.1.1.
Up til then I used the version 2.0.3 and had no problems with it. But after switching to the new version I'm not able to connect to any server. I checked that the port settings of my firewall correspond to those in the amule settings like they did in the old version when everything was fine.

Can anyone help me. Is there an additional port that has to be openend?

No, there's no additional port to open.

What do you mean when you say you're not able to connect to any server?  Do the connection attempts time out?  Or, do you connect to the server and then immediately lose the connection?  Or, some other thing?

Did you replace your server.met recently?  Depending on where you got it, it might be a stale list full of dead servers.

^^ try adding those two, or search for them on your server list and try to connect

2006-03-21 15:23:10: Verbindungsversuch zu 62.241.53.2 (62.241.53.2:4242): Timeout.

alltho I understand it its still an english forum ;)

well connections times out, means usually your not allowed to access there, this could happen if your firewall is for example not correctly configured

you need 3ports to function correct -> 4662/tcp, 4665/upd and 4672/udp, those are the default values, if you changed tehm in prefs they are of course not valid anymore

about the offical hostname error -> dont worry about it

Hallo,

sorry I switched accidentaly back to german.

The 3 ports you mentioned are correctly set. And with the old version everything was ok. The only thing I changed was the amule version. The firewall is the same with the same configuration as before.

Hallo again.

When I switch back to the old version 2.0.3 everything is fine again.
What has changed in the version 2.1, that could cause this problem?

Hi!

I'm having the same problem. Can someone at least send me his 2.0.3 version? Is this, 2.0.3, also universal binary?
