amule 2.0.0 not working anymore so trying to download 2.1.1

hi.

I had the message "you re not connected to a server" while I was using my amule 2.0.0. It sais also at the bottom that my version was outdated or smthing lik that...

So I downloaded the newer version, put it in my applications folder, but when I clic on it nothing opens...

here is my System Version:   Mac OS X 10.3.9 (7W98)

Have a look at this thread. If you could follow the instructions from my second post in that thread and post the results back into that thread that would be great. :)

yes, oups!

but now I ve got the right version, I ve managed to open it, but when I do a search, it says that I m not connected to a server...How do I do that?

I clicked on the little triangle to update servers list

I was then able to do a search, but in the file transfers window, it goes very slowly...

Is there anything to do to improve the download speed and efficiency?

You should have gotten that information from your provider (e.g., info material, your contract, etc.), But you could also try to find it out using a connection tester.

However note that connection speeds are often specified in kilobits per second while aMule wants you to enter kilobytes per second. Since 1byte = 8 bits, you need to divide the speed in kbit/s by 8 to get the speed in kbytes/s which aMule needs.
