@atilla bey elinize kolunuza sağlık çeviri çok güzel olmuş ama ufak bir sorunum var umarım yardımcı olursunuz. Ben Ubuntu 7.04 ve aMule sürümüm 2.1.3 kullanıyorum. Bu konudaki çeviri dosyasını "/usr/share/locale/tr/LC_MESSAGES/" klasörüne atınca hiçbir değişiklik olmuyor ama bundan önceki konunuzdaki(türkçe çeviri konusu) "aMule_Türkçe21072007.tar.bz2 " dosyasının içindeki tr.gmo yu amule.mo şeklinde yapıp gene yukarıda belirttiğim klasöre atınca sorun ortadan kalktı. Ama buradaki çeviri daha yeni olduğu için buradaki dosyayı kullanmak istiyorum öneriniz nedir?

Updated and reviewed for latest changes translation for turkish users. I'm not sure if this translation is ok.Because my beloved kbabel showed me some warnings i did'nt see before.But tested in my amule and see there's no problem...

I'm sorry, I can't commit this translation, because I have no understanding of the turkish language and cannot fix it. There a couple of variable placeholders (e.g. %s, %d,...) missing in the translation strings and I can't just put something in there not knowing what it means.
We recently introduced support for plural forms. Please see GonoszTopi's post: Plural forms (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=14526.0)
I don't know about kbabel, but in the source, you'll find something like this:

In German (as in English), there are two forms: One for the singular, i.e. only one of a quantity and one for the plural, i.e. not one.
The first translation (msgstr[0]) in above code is for the singular form whilst the second (msgstr[1]) is for the plural form. The strings are almost the same, except for the flection of "seconds".
Please have a look at the gettext manual linked in GonoszTopi's post, there are more things explained.

OK, turns out that turkish has no plurals. So you don't have to worry about about plurals at all, the only thing that changes is that there's a "msgstr[0]" instead of a "msgstr" in the po-file when there's a plural form in other languages.
Anyway: Thanks a lot for this update. Turkish users will be able to use the new translation tomorrow.

Thanks. Just for information, turkish have of course plural forms but doesn't need to use them with numbers .For exmaple: kalem(pencil)>singular kalemler(pencils)>plural.Turkish people say "Bu kalemler"(These pencils) but a word with a number "Bu 5 kalem"(These 5 pencils).This is because of the systematic nautre of the language.Numbers already represent plural forms.Again, thanks for your help

Huh? I can't really say that i understand you. Are there any wrong strings in my translation, or rewrapped something? Or it is just a joke, that you say add,remove or modify stirngs in original pot file to keep us (translators) warm? ;D

Hi again. After long time inactivity i'm returning translation works. So, i have almost completed latest translation except one string:

I have questions for this.
What is EOF here? End Of File or what? Also i did not understand this whole string, would you give me a brief example?

EOF means "end of file", you guessed correctly.
It's an error message triggered when there is an unexpected end-of-file event (or an IO-error) when a completed part is hashed. It should not get displayed at all.

Just dropping an updated tr.po, hopefully it can ease things for Atilla a bit (although not really for the "EOF while hashing downloaded part %u with length %u (max %u) of partfile '%s' with length %u: %s" sentence, this one will probably make him laugh -- Atilla, I'm sure you'll find a much better wording).
Also, if I may suggest one thing: get the zemberek spell checker for Turkish. I discovered it recently and oh boy, it really made life easier for translations. I definitely hope mandriva has it in the repos, if not beat them into a pulp ;)

If only girls could do the same for me every five minutes... That "detail" notwithstanding, I'd like to make something clear: I'm a man. A real man. With balls, two of them, very large, hair on my chest and stuff. You know why? Because I use the command line. Yes sir, the command line, even though that doesn't help make girls spawn. In fact these creatures seem to be more attracted by other stupid things... but I digress.
I'm a real furry man because I use the command line therefore I translated the man pages in Turkish (I discovered the wiki page describing the use of po4a after finishing the translation, so I only used it to check the final result with a rman -f HTML, sorry for that). I also updated the Turkish translation for aMule (and corrected some typos on the README which is in the docs directory). Everything is attached but please triple check the man pages with all the formatting.
PS: This is really a negligible detail, I hope you don't mind the little personal ad I put in the man pages. I mean, for chatroulette you need a webcam so it's a dead end for me. On facebook you need to put your picture, which means game over (don't insert coin, don't continue). But I'm not giving up. I want to believe. Maybe Paris Hilton reads man pages?

Anyway, I attached a zip archive containing updated translations (the client and man pages).
Talking about contributions, I can happily and delicately torture Stu Redman or Vollstrecker until they update man pages in German. And Atilla because he seems to be on strike. If you need a contribution for that, please, feel free to tell it ;D

Actually first I thought it was spam. Later I realized spam posts are unlikely to have updated translations attached, so I just ignored it. Well... the story of your life...

These po files include only a minor correction for the plural form which should be "nplurals=1; plural=0" for the Turkish language. Therefore I also removed unnecessary plural forms from translated sentences in tr.po.
And please note that I didn't even mention Paris Hilton in this message. Oh wait...

In case all the plural strings are the same as the singular ones, there's no need for more than one form. Even though poedit suggets that... Anyway, let's keep it like this, perhaps we'll introduce a sentence where you'll need the different forms ;)

Here's the updated Turkish translation. Now that Ubuntu has a built-in Turkish spellchecker, I've spent some time hunting down typos, there should be less of them.
