I would like to understand what it is - why the IP looks like 0.0.0.0 ?
My ID is high and my kad is firewalled - and I have some regfular crash of my firtewall a trendnet router due to amule and I am trying to understand if my router is dead - or cannot handle properly port forwarding - or if the problem is more related with ameul.

Thanx for you help

You only need to enable external connections if you want to control aMule from a different machine, so you can just ignore that line. All the other stuff in you log looks fine, too.

If your router dies on a regular basis when running amule then try the following changes in aMule:
- reduce the Connection limit (in Preferences->Connection) to 100
- reduce the "Max new connections / 5 secs" (in Preferences->Core Tweaks) to 10

Firewall near stability
« Reply #2 on: November 08, 2006, 11:59:07 PM »

Hello Lionel,

Thanx for the tips. I had to go down to 50 connections and 5 new connections per 5 min. Then the firewall seems now stable. For info it is a router firewall TRENDNET (wire) and I have similar issue of stability while running BitTorrent.
It might help other users.

Thanx again.

Glad to hear that that fixed your problem. Some routers just get overwhelmed very easily. On the bright side, even with a max connections of 50 and a max cons per 5s of 5 you should get pretty decent download speeds.
