Yet another greek translation. Believe it or not this is 100% (not counting the errors). I need to check the translation for sanity in the running program, but I will do that later. For now we can call this Greek translation alpha version. I wish someone offers some help with that or I will do it sometime in the future...

And during this tedious exercise, I have realized that the english in many of the source strings is not exactly accurate. And this definitely affects the quality of the translation too. I sense that there is a long way for a release. :((

You know, none of the developers are native English speakers, but we try our best.

Thanks a lot for the update, it's nice to have people contributing so much to aMule! :)

This is a valid point, which we should address. I would be thankful if you could make a list of wrong strings if you encounter them and I'll fix them gladly. If I find the time I'll walk through the strings myself.

Ok, I can try to do that. How would you like me to send them to you? I don't think they are 2-3. Do you want me to start another *.po file?

To give you an example: in the SVN (May 22) copy that I run, in the statistics tab it has words like "Downloadrate", "Uploadrate". "filesize" , which should be 2 words (I did that in the greek translation).

There are other ways in which the gui can be polished but I don't want to go too far here ...

Well, I would need the location of the string, the string itself and possibly an improvement suggestion. Hence, a po file seems like a good idea to me.

I fixed some fuzzy strings and some smaller problems. From  now on I will work on the quality of the translation after I compile amule on my mac.

Sorry another dozen of improvements. Now that I managed to compile aMule in Leopard I am face to face with the greek translation. :)
