amulegui for OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) and OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
« on: January 29, 2008, 06:31:57 AM »

Hi everybody,

I've taken a look at several forum topics and done some googling, with no success yet. So please forgive me if this has been asked before.

I have a Debian server currently running amuled with no problems.

I'd like to be able to access it remotely via my ethernet network, either via amulegui or via a web browser. I need to access it from two different Macs, one running X.3.9 and the other running X.4.11 (and soon X.5 ?).

Unfortunately, I don't have any compilation skills, so I'd like to find an already compiled, ready-to-use amulegui version, for my two OS versions. Why aren't those versions available separately for download anyway ?...  ???

http access is also an option, but I have to say that the web interface that I've seen is not very... er... pretty and user-friendly  ;D (just take a look at emule's web interface for instance). Unless there are other amuleweb skins that I've not seen ?

Please advice me on what I should do. Thanks in advance.  ;)

Jose Hidalgo,

aMule developers only support the source code. Binary distributions are supported by some of our users, and we are gratefull for that.

Unfortunately, no active aMule developer has a Mac.

There is a forum for binary distros, please take a look if you can find something there. You should contact other Mac users that have been successful in doing so. Even better, if someone comes with a recipe of how to compile for Mac, we will put it in the Wiki.

Cheers!
