This is slower than the version from november. Can you compile it for leopard only ?

I mean it take a lot of CPU and the preferences are long to open.

Do you know when the real 2.2.1 will be released for Mac OS X ?

I've compiled it under Leopard, only for Intel architechture.

Great! Thanks. Yet, if placed in a folder like  "/Applications/32-Net-Donkey/Ω•Downloads/aMule-2.2.1-Intel-Leopard Folder" after launch it says "Directory error" and crashes. Must be placed in /Applications to open properly.

I guess the symbol Ω cannot be recognized correctly. Try another name.

Hello there!

Well I'm not an experieced user, first of all, and I've tried in the past compile those CVS without any success, so maybe there would be the problem.
So, I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.3. Before this, I'm using amule 2.1.3.

What I've done is download the Intel-Leopard amule.app showed here above, and copy the amule.app on the old amule.app.

Well, after a few seconds, an alert window pop up showing this:

wxWidgets Debug Alert
Kademia/Kademlia/Entry.cpp(427): assert "muIP !=0" failed in MergeIPsAndFilenames()

Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings

If I click 'No', the window shows again
If I click 'Cancel' amule continues loading apparently, but it slows the computer, apparently hanging, so the only way is force exit
If I click 'Yes' amule crash and this is the error report:

I'm sorry, I've no idea about this issue. You can try to delete all of the preference files of previous version and run it again, if it still does not work, plz report bug:-).

Thanks for your answer!

Could you explain me, in a simple way if it's possible, how to do it?

And, if you were so kind, could you show me how to delete completely the wxWidgets that could remain in my system from the previous CVS release I tried to install unsuccesfully?

I think that if I could do this two things, the problem would be solved... If not, I'll try to install the bugtrace tool to show you what's heppening.

Thanks for your time.

To solve this problem for now you need to delete ~/Library/Application Support/aMule/key_index.dat.

To solve this problem for now you need to delete ~/Library/Application Support/aMule/key_index.dat.
It works!

The only thing I see is in the aMule log 'Too many open files'... For example:
Code: [Select]
2008-06-26 22:42:07: CFile.cpp(140): CFile: Error when opening file (/Volumes/LaCie Disk/Documents/aMule Downloads/El Orfanato.avi): Too many open files
2008-06-26 22:42:07: UploadClient.cpp(269): Failed to open file (El Orfanato.avi), removing from list of shared files.

What can I do to remove this?

Thank you!

I believe this bug is fixed in current SVN builds, try to use a recent one.
