AMPS Translations
« on: May 06, 2004, 09:46:21 PM »

Hi all!

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on a port/improvement on the aStats script.  It's written in PHP, is dynamically updated, and supports translations and themes.  Basically the biggest improvement is that you don't have to run aStats every time you want an updated stats webpage; just put AMPS in your webserver's document root and the file spit out will always be up to date!

Like I mentioned, AMPS has multilingual support, but currently only has an english translation.  If you would be interested in translating AMPS to your language, simply download the attached file and translate all the strings in the file (not the $text['varname'] part; everything after that).  Rename the file with your two-letter language code (i.e. de for Deutsch, fr for Francais, es for Espanol, etc), and either post it here or email it to me.  Hopefully the variable names are descriptive enough to let you know what they should be set to, if not post here and I'll clarify what they do.

Thanks alot for your help, if you would like to see the status of this script (currently fully functional, I'm just trying to make sure it's somewhat break-proof), look here:

Please note that this is my home system, which may or may not always be powered up, so if it's not just try again later.

Those strings display if you are offline and aMule is either running or not...

There are no strings in that file that are not used  ;)

Should have mentioned; as I add translations they can be accessed by appending ?lang=xx to the script where xx is the appropriate language code:

Hya uberpenguin,

Spanish translation. I did it in a windows computer, so it will have windows newlines, I guess that'll be no problem. Also, encoded in UTF-8.

Nice AMPS :-)
Greetings.

Not a problem; PHP complains a lot about Unicode text unless you specifically write for it, so I had to convert it to ascii; still works though :)  Thanks!
