After installing the OSX client, I get an error in the log indicating that it can't find /users/USERNAME/.aMule/preferences.dat
I located the preferences under the user's preferences folder with the name emule Preferences. I copied this preference over to the .aMule folder and renamed it preferences.dat. This got rid of the error, but does aMule now use the prefences saved in the .aMule folder or does it still rely on the one inside the user's preferences folder?

I found out by just creating a blank preferences.dat file in the OSDirectory (.aMule) that it does not really use that file. I does modify the file, but the current preference file that it relies on is the one in the user's preferences folder.
