you probably took the mac binary right? so wx is already included and you already have the last version of wx

what could cause this high CPU if you have some debug information enabled in the debug prefs of amule
or the option "sort automatically"

I'm using the one that's in the front page of amule.org I just downloaded it, and ran it.

debug information enabled in the debug prefs

I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a n00b in this amule thing, wheres's that debug prefs? Can't find it in the GUI. Is there a file to edit?

"sort automatically"

like the first one, where's this? can't find it anywhere.

What I did find was Source Dropping I've just changed: Send sources to any other file before dropping (High CPU) to: Drop sources. Do you tihink I will have any download rate hit with this?

Once again thanx for your time.
G.

ps: I would also like to control the number of downloaded files at the same time is there any way to do this?

just pause the once you dont want to dl atm, but if they are in waiting state, then all will at some point start to download.

about those preferences options I was talking about, you shoudl have in the amule-gui a button called
--> preferences
right?

if you click it, a menu should pop up, and you should see some options. the last one should be called
"debugging"
but it could also be this is disabled, but I dont think so.... if you have that menu check if anything is enabled, and disable it...its just debug info for us devs, not usefull for the users...

the other option I was talking about would be over debugging, called tweaks.

I have the tweaks pref panel in wich the auto-sort is turned off.

The debug prefpanel simply doesnt exist thas that mean the debug information is turned off?

with the "Source Dropping: Drop sources." I've reduced CPU utilization to 20 to 30% it's still a bit too much isn't it?

setting up the hardlimit to high can even cause a high cpu utilization. there was a formular of emule-project.

Code: [Select]
8000 / [numberofdownloads] = [Hardlimit to set]
This will be your optimum
