Amuleweb...
« on: May 30, 2005, 04:10:13 PM »

Hiho guys and girls,

2 Problems which I would like to solve about amuleweb (tarball 20050530)

First one. I got amuleweb interface to run, but by entering a full/low right password...the interface is just ignoring it . I can enter the Interface by entering no password and got full rights 8o so passwords which I have set even don't work...that's what frustated me  ?(

second one is...When I switch to my "transfers" in the webinterface...amuleweb is going to put some high cpu usage in it and takes half of a minute to load  8o Thats quite unusual because I saw many webinterfaces from other users where "transfer" got loaded very fast. But mine is damn slow

So I have an 2,5 x 2 G5 and 3.5 GB-RAM I don't think I got a bad performance ;)

I would be happy to hear about Solutiontips  :baby:

heho

about the pass:
do you start amuleweb yourself? or do you let it get started at amule startup? if you start it yourself you need a remote.conf file, it will get checked by amuleweb at startup, and amuleweb will read all settings from there
the file should look kinda like this:
Code: [Select]
cat .aMule/remote.conf
Locale=
[EC]
Host=localhost
Port=4712
Password=6ab86d2917b6143152aa90fcfcd619ba
[Webserver]
Port=4000
Template=CTemplate
UseGzip=1
AllowGuest=0
AdminPassword=6AB86D2917B6143152AA90FCFCD619BA
GuestPassword=
PageRefreshTime=120
GraphHeight=149
GraphWidth=500
GraphScale=3

just adjust those settings to your needs for example EC-port and the password itself....
then save this remote.conf file in your .aMule dir (or the one where all the aMule files are in) I am not sure what that is called on mac
this should solve the password problem

2nd.
how many downloads you have? amuleweb reads the stats for one after another for every file. so if you have 200 downlaods, hte page reloads is longer then if you have 10downloads.

on mac amule won't start it automatically. I have to start it by terminal.

Anyway thanks for the tip. It worked for me. By the way I got 185 downloads maybe thats why it is a bit slow ;)
