OK, we need to become a little more structured here...

First, are you sure the backtrace (the amule.crash.log file) was produced by 2.0.3 and not by a CVS version of mine? So the question is, which version were you running at the time of the crash which is "Date/Time: 2005-10-18 17:08:40 -0700"?

I'll probably be able to post a more stable CVS version within the next couple days. For now, as I said earlier, you should stick with 2.0.3.

wxWidgets is the cross-platform API that amule uses (for most of the system calls like windows drawing, network sockets, etc.)

I'm still confused why you can't start aMule through the Finder. Are you sure nothing is added to console.log or system.log?

The crashed thread was trying an HTTP request.  Turn off any feature for automatically updating files from URLs at startup.  For instance, updating the server.met or ipfilter.dat.

hello again,
for lionell77 - im sure that is the 2.0.3 version and nothing is added to the console when i double click the icon in       the finder.
im not sure i got what ken said but maybe (and im not sure if its relevant) its connected some how to the reason of why i cant update app.s at startup. (since i installed 10.3)
and another question: is the newer version (the one that might work) is out yet?
thanks again all of you.

In aMule, there are the following preference settings:

General -> Check for new version at startup
Server -> Auto-update serverlist at startup
Security -> Auto-update ipfilter at startup

These all cause aMule to attempt to contact a web server and download a file when it starts up.  This is apparently causing the crash you are experiencing.  I recommend that you turn those preference settings off and try running aMule by double-clicking it in the Finder.  If it works, then it will help us understand your problem.

As Kry would say, it will be available "soon"... ;)

On a more serios note, ken and I just finished (well, hopefully finished) a month long hunt for the memory corruption that made amule cvs crash every few hours. If everything goes well, I will post a new binary by the end of the week.
