In the Finder, in the Go menu, choose Go To Folder.  In the dialog box that comes up, type "~/.aMule" (without the quotes).  The "~" means "my home folder", the "/" is a separator between directories, and, as you see, the dot comes at the beginning of ".aMule".

I gotta admit, that I don't have a clue about macs, but the path is ~/.aMule on Linux.
The dot is the first one and the capital letter M is important as well.

hi

yes i managed to get that sorted with that command - nifty.
Also just before i got your reply i downloaded an app which would let me see
all invisible files and i found it that way also. GOosh i had know idea how many files are littered over my mac....no idea wot they may be.....

So anyway.. in that .aMule file are a load of docs and a temp folder -
Should i delete the part downloads i abandoned which are in the temp folder  ?
( 3 files named 001.part , 001.part.met &  001.met.bak )
or should i just leave them?

tnx

OK, I was talking about the top-level "Go" menu in the Finder's menu bar.  When the Finder is the foreground applicaiton, reading across the menu bar on the top you should see:

Finder File Edit View Go Window Help

The fifth of those is the Go menu I was talking about.

Anyway, you've made it past that hurdle in another way.

You shouldn't need to delete things from the Temp directory, although you may if you like.  In aMule you can cancel downloads by selecting them and pressing the delete or backspace keys, or control-click (right-click if you have a multi-button mouse) on the file and select Cancel.  Then aMule will clean up these files for you.

hi
thanks for getting back with explanation of the 'go' menu
which i hadnt worked out so it was good to do so...........

i did not delete anything in the temp dir as yet.

i started downloading a xvid file lastnight, and it appears to be comming in......
my first amule test......

Ive got 11.43mb as - transfered
Ive got 11.54mb as - completed
the progress bar is quite a good shade of dark blue with a varient source rate of 9 - 27
My status is - waiting

A couple of questions -
1. Does the 'transfered' and 'completed' column refer to what is currently held in my
temp dir and downloaded folder respectivly ?
2. When the status says 'waiting' does that mean it is currently not downloading any files ?

thanks for your time again
