Can't share any folders

I have a problem sharing files:

Only the files in my incoming dir appear as shared, and when I mark more directories (using right-click for recursive sharing), no files are added to the list of shared files ('refresh' button doesn't help), and when I close and restart amule, the folders no longer appear in bold, i.e. do not appear to be shared.

Am using version 2.1.0 binary on WinXP SP2.

I Right-Click on a folder, Double-Click on another folder, but this is all that ever shows up in the aMule Log window:
