This amulegui problems are all normal?
« on: February 01, 2006, 01:20:37 AM »

I use amulegui windows to connect to amuled running under linux. I know amulegui isnt 100% working yet, so i wanna know what problems are "expected" and if i can fix any of these problems:
• There is NO amule log or server info
  • Kad always show 0 nodes and dont show graphics
  • No shared files is show
  • No statistics (no graphic and no data)
  • Its not possible to see the list of user i am downloding from (double clicking over file name)
  • Search dont show any results
  •
I use amule 2.1.0 under gentoo (using packed gentoo amule-2.1.0-r1), winamulegui i downloaded from this site.
    Tks guys!

Well, I've been using it too for a while now and I can say that:
1. Indeed, no logs.
2. Indeed, no graphs.
3. This should work normally, perhaps wait a bit longer, it can take a long time at first if you share a lot of files (>500).
4. Indeed, no graphs.
5. Indeed, does not work, only shows a little circle.
6. This should work normally. However, make sure you are using "local" or "global" search only, Kad does not seem to work with the daemon yet.

Oddly though, 1 and 4 do work on the web GUI...... So the daemon provides the info, just the GUI doesn't show it. There are other things you still can't do with the remote GUI, such as renaming downloads and setting shared directories on the server. In case you ask  :)

According to other threads on this forum there is ongoing development on these issues, so we have to wait a while I guess.

Due to family issues, only critical bugs gets fixed right now. New features may be added, but no promises.
