hey
you can set up and edonkey server in your local lan and make both clients connect to it....
once they are connected they can share their files and you can lod the 2GB file from the other emule ;)

PS you can probably PM citroklar he know how to do it.. if you are not sure

He is not online.

Anyway, it is not important. I am downloading the file with a very good speed I "will have it" in about 11 hours.
As I said I am doing all this to check whether I can download a file>2GB

So far, I have downloaded 600MB
It says that you use emule V00. I wander why amule can not recognize amule!!

What I do not understand is why sometimes it stops downloading from a certain source.

I got my first corrupted part, but I.C.H was able to recover.

deltaHF, I do not know if you managed to download the file, but I do not think I will be able to do so. Within three hours the downloaded size increased from 2.01GB to 2.02GB and there were 1.11GB corrupted parts.
In other words it stopped downloading at the same point where it had stopped downloading when I had started downloading with the amule 1.2.6 and then I used amule cvs.

Moreover, there is another thing that you should know. Maybe, it is not related to amule, but since you are the experts you are going to decide. For three hours, that I wrote above, the computer was not used. When I came back, amule was not responsive. Namely, I clicked on the search button or the sharefiles button and the window for that task did not appear. Instead the two windows (the old one and the new one) were kind mixed, many of the buttons were faded or even had disappeared. The only solution of course was to kill amule and to start it again. As I wrote before I do not know what caused this. It could be my system or not. I see this kind of behavior and it is because all the informations are written on the harddisk, swap memory, and it takes some time for the kernel to recover the information. But, for amule I did not see such a thing.

I will install the new version of amule that you have released and I will let you know.

It works :D

I installed the rc1 version and it works. So far I have not had a single corrupted file and if everything goes well I should have it in a couple of hours.

You did it.... Thank you :))
