i'm really confused by the number of different po-files.
wuischke, you said the file you attached is the last, merged, up-to-date and so on. but it has 1545 phrases, some untranslated, while official statistics sais that the file has 1546 phrases, all translated.

here's the updated file (the one you attached in your post), but i still don't get it anyway...

Well, let's unravel the mistery.

Short version: I'm wrong, the official statistics are right. Plus I told you fairy tales about no 2.2.4 release.

Long version: I did not merge the file properly. That's where the untranslated strings come from. Furthermore, one string was added after I attached this file, so we've got 1546 instead of 1545 string now.
In general the official statistics are right, unless I say explicitely that they are not. But then someone will update the official statistics again and I'm wrong again. ;)

"Und die Moral von der Geschicht'? Traue keinem Redner nicht, sondern der Statistik nur, zeigt sie doch der Zahlen pur." (And the morale of the story? Don't trust a talker, but only statistics as they show pure numbers.)

That's me, to be honest.

And to quote Winston Churchill: never trust a statistic you haven't forged yourself.  ;D

(Hey, this thread is a source of fun among all these dry "Here's a new version" - "commited, thank you".  :D )

To get another topic than just: New version, could someone with basic understanding of this language check if the bug on http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=424172 is still valid?

That's fixed in 2.2.6 and SVN. Can you close it?

Package: amule-common

When I request files list of some user aMule says:

There should be not "бубликуемых" but "публикуемых"... :)

Code: [Select]

Here comes russian man pages!

And some questions/remarks about manpages at all.

Quote
The magnet link must contain the eD2k hash and file length.
File size, i think, not the length. Or probably some native english speaker should tell if it's all right.

Quote
The IP must be a dotted decimal IPv4 address, or a resolvable DNS name.
IP in form of a DNS name? Shouldn't you tell "address"?

Quote
[B<-t> I<E<lt>numE<gt>>]
(in amulegui description). Haven't find any description of this option. Either it's forgotten, or the string is not right.

Quote
See also the section B<SKIN SUPPORT.>
The dot should be bold too?

Quote
This is the port you can point your browser to (default: I<4711>).
You can point your browser to any port you like, but you must point it to this port if you want to see anything useful.

Quote
I<E<lt>eD2k-LinkE<gt>>
Sends the given I<E<lt>eD2k_linkE<gt>> to aMule
(in link parser description). The normal form is "eD2k-link", these two i consider a typos.

Quote
You can optionally append I<=E<lt>PATHE<gt>> to this option
PATH probably?

Quote
For this to work, you must enable the \"Online Signature\" option in aMules preferences.
(in xas description). So, cas and wxcas do not need this option enabled? (at least i didn't find any info about it)

Quote
you can just run the script in /usr/bin/autstart-xas if, if you installed with --prefix=/usr
Sure! I have, have installed amule with this.

Nope, the E is the same as the one in front of <lt>

About the rest, you're right. I'll add the stuff when I have the time to fix the remaining syntaxerrors in these files. Next week I hope. If everthing works as I expect, their shouldn't be additional work for you after this. Except the lexical things like address and can, Which I don't address  with the fixes till someone can clarify this.

Nice work.

Ok, I added this E letter in those two strings i misunderstood. But if you are going to fix some strings in the original it probably won't be needed anyway.

The fixes I plan, aren't that intense. The most just remove some unneeded macro-calls and aliases. The line numbers will change, but as the sentences don't change, I can safely remove the fuzzy mark. Same applies at the missing option, as it is present and translated in the other docs, no work is needed on this. I don't know russian, but eD2K is eD2k, so I think I can change this by myself. Or better, you already tranlated it correct, and your string will be reused.

Both are correct I believe, not changed.

Reworded for clarity.

You did translate its description, so it's there.

No. Fixed.

Fixed.

Fixed (with all other occurences).

Sure, they need it and they needed the warning.

Now this bug, bug is fixed, too ;)

Thank you for your valuable report.

New release is coming, so it's time for update/questions:

Quote
Failed to read nodes.dat file - too old. This version (0) is not supported anymore.

Not exactly translation question.
Should  "0" be hardcoded? if replace it with %d or %s it will save us from re-translating in future.

Quote
Disable computer's timed standby mode

What mode? Is it system suspend prevention discussed here?

Quote
#: src/SharedFilePeersListCtrl.cpp:37
#: src/SourceListCtrl.cpp:35
msgid "Origin"

what's this about? I know only Dragon Age: Origins and X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Quote
#: src/GenericClientListCtrl.cpp:1028
msgid "None"

Another totally meaningful line

Quote
Only 99 categories are supported

Wow, that's a real pity... :'( Why 99? why not 127 or 255?

Quote
#: src/ExternalConn.cpp:528
msgid "Sent error message \"%s\" to client."

Message about error or erroneous message?

Quote
#: src/TextClient.cpp:862
msgid "Reload IP filtering table."
#: src/TextClient.cpp:863
msgid "Reload current IP filtering table."

what's the difference? Or even more, how can you reload non-current table?

First of all, sorry for the delay.

Quote

The current version (of nodes.dat) is 1, and it's unlikely to change. Even more unlikely, that we stop supporting it. Therefore I believe you don't need to worry about it for several more years and releases.

Quote

Yes.

Quote
#: src/SharedFilePeersListCtrl.cpp:37
#: src/SourceListCtrl.cpp:35
msgid "Origin"

Source of a source. I mean, it's where a client came from.

Quote
#: src/GenericClientListCtrl.cpp:1028
msgid "None"
Another totally meaningful line
Hard to explain more verbosely. "There isn't (any)" is the meaning here.

Quote
Only 99 categories are supported
Wow, that's a real pity... :'( Why 99? why not 127 or 255?
Because category numbers are stored on two (decimal) digit, and "00" is reserved for the main category.

Quote
#: src/ExternalConn.cpp:528
msgid "Sent error message \"%s\" to client."
Message about error or erroneous message?
%s is the error message we sent to the client.

Quote
#: src/TextClient.cpp:862
msgid "Reload IP filtering table."
#: src/TextClient.cpp:863
msgid "Reload current IP filtering table."
what's the difference? Or even more, how can you reload non-current table?
Good point. I'll have a look on it some time later.

Oh, and updated man pages
Committed. Nice job, thanks.
